2. Information We Collect

We collect the following information when you sign in with LinkedIn:

• Your LinkedIn profile name and profile picture URL
• Your email address (provided by LinkedIn)
• Your LinkedIn member ID (used to identify your account)
• A LinkedIn OAuth access token (required to publish posts on your behalf)

We also collect data generated within the app:

• Posts you create, generate, or schedule using our tool
• Scheduling preferences and post history
• Settings and preferences you configure

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Authenticate you securely using LinkedIn OAuth
• Generate and schedule LinkedIn posts on your behalf (only when you request it)
• Store your drafted and scheduled posts in our database
• Display your name and avatar in the app interface
• Improve the reliability and functionality of our service

4. Image Data

When you upload images for AI-powered post generation:

• Images are sent directly to Google's Gemini API for analysis
• Images are processed in-memory and are not stored on our servers permanently
• Google's data handling is governed by Google's Privacy Policy

5. LinkedIn API Usage

LinkedOut Pro uses the LinkedIn API under the following approved scopes:

• openid — To verify your identity
• profile — To access your public profile information
• email — To access your email address
• w_member_social — To publish posts to LinkedIn on your behalf

We only publish content to LinkedIn when you explicitly request it (by clicking "Post Now" or when a scheduled post is due). We will never post without your consent.

6. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely in our database (Supabase / PostgreSQL). We implement industry-standard security practices:

• All traffic is encrypted via HTTPS/TLS
• Authentication uses secure, HTTP-only JWT cookies
• LinkedIn access tokens are stored encrypted
• We do not log or store your Gemini API key — it stays in your browser's localStorage only

7. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you would like to delete your account and all associated data, please contact us at the email below and we will process your request within 7 business days.

8. Third-Party Services

LinkedOut Pro integrates with the following third-party services:

• LinkedIn — OAuth authentication and post publishing
• Google Gemini API — AI-powered post generation from images
• Vercel — Hosting and deployment infrastructure
• Supabase — Database and storage

Each of these services has their own privacy policies which govern their data handling.

9. Your Rights

You have the following rights regarding your data:

• Access — Request a copy of the data we hold about you
• Correction — Request correction of inaccurate data
• Deletion — Request deletion of your account and data
• Revocation — Revoke LinkedIn access at any time via your LinkedIn Connected Apps settings

10. Children's Privacy

LinkedOut Pro is not directed at children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
